Mexico City as formed by the gradual fusion of several cities and towns. Some of the most important areas of the city are the reforma avenue, the national museum of archeology, the chapultepec castle and the historic center . The Historic Center is named the zocalo and this was area occupied in the past by the Aztecs , the center of trade and it is aligned according to the four cardinal points. The Spanish then retraced the area i and it was subsequently rebuilt as a convent-filled, aristocratic metropolis before eventually transforming into a city of modernity.
Now Mexico City has big shopping centers, theaters, good restaurants, festivals and many other attractions.

Consequently, the visitor finds this to be a lively, captured by a multi enviroment place, The geometric regularity of the downtown area allows the visitor to become acquainted with various neighborhoods (grouped into some popular zones as the Zocalo, the pink zona, polanco, the north side of the city and the south side, surrounded by parks, monuments, modern buildings and a lot of traffic.

Staying at a downtown or Reforma zone hotel can be a good option, as many of the city's museums are located nearby, and fast and easy transport is available as well as some restaurants.
